Are you new to health and social care?

This course will provide an introduction to your duties and responsibilities, the standards, and the importance of working with others.

The learning objectives are as follows:

  • To know your main duties and responsibilities
  • To know the standards and codes of conduct that impact on your role
  • To know what is meant by ‘agreed ways of working’
  • To understand how your previous experiences, attitudes, and beliefs may affect the way you work
  • To understand the values, aims, and objectives
  • To understand the importance of employment legislation and the importance of reporting errors
  • To know what whistleblowing is
  • To understand the importance of working with others

This course meets the Training, Support, and Development Standards as outlined in The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011.
