Overview

n this course, learners can find out more about safeguarding adults, the law, and best practice. This course provides an in-depth understanding of abuse, the role of the Prevent Strategy, and managing concerns and risks relating to honour-based abuse and modern slavery.

The learning objectives are as follows:

  • To understand safeguarding requirements 
  • To gain an in-depth understanding of abuse, neglect, harm, and vulnerability
  • To know how to manage safeguarding law/legislation and its application
  • To know how to manage capacity and consent
  • To know how to manage and risk assess safeguarding concerns
  • To understand the role of the Prevent Strategy 
  • To know how to safeguard concerns and manage concerns and risks associated with honour-based abuse
  • To know how to safeguard concerns and manage concerns and risks associated with modern slavery and trafficking
