Overview

More often than not, diversity and inclusion are often described as one and the  same thing. However, this really isn’t the case. This course will highlight the differences between the definitions of diversity and inclusion. It will also discuss the ways in which learners can create diverse and inclusive environments for children and young people.

The learning objectives are as follows:

  • To understand what diversity and inclusion means
  • To be aware of both appropriate and inappropriate behaviours and languages and how to challenge these
  • To know how to respect others and their needs
  • To be aware of equality legislation
  • To know of strategies for embedding diversity and inclusion

This course meets the Training, Support, and Development Standards as outlined in The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011.

Should you have 5 or more learners requiring this training please consider the face to face option we offer.

Should you wish to discuss your needs before making a booking, please go via our live chat.
